Vinpearl Air to take first flight in July 2020

Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup is completing necessary procedures to help its newly-established carrier Vinpearl Air taking the first commercial flight in July 2020 with a fleet of six planes.

The Vietnamese private airline is projected to start with 6 aircraft and will add 6 more aircraft annually. By 2024, the airline is expected to have a fleet of 30 planes, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Vinpearl Air, which has total investment of $201.2 million, will open 62 domestic flight routes and 93 international routes.

The airline plans to use Noi Bai International Airport as the base airport and park its aircraft overnight in Noi Bai, Cam Ranh, Cat Bi, Da Nang and Van Don airports. It is expected  to get profit from 2023.

The project is scheduled to create job opportunities for about 500-600 people from the middle of 2020 and number of employees will increase to about 2,200-2,300 by 2023 and  2024.
